Understanding Reverse Mortgages

There are many options for homeowners who may need to tap into their equity in order to stay in their home.  I learned about reverse mortgages when my dad passed away and my mom’s income dropped in half.  A reverse mortgage was a lifeline for her and allowed her to remain in her home.

I interviewed Gabe Bodner of One Trust Home Loans to explain reverse mortgages and what they are what they are not; who qualifies for a reverse mortgage; how they differ from conventional, VA or FHA mortgages; terms of a reverse mortgage; and if a reverse mortgage is the right option.
